Frozen Dessert Comes to Hughes Landing
The Woodlands, TX (August 28, 2015) – A new concept in frozen desserts, CUPS frozen yogurt, celebrates its grand opening this Saturday, August 29th with free frozen yogurt from 4 – 6 pm. Located in the new Hughes Landing development, there will be chances to win prizes, discounts, and free frozen yogurt for a year, all weekend long.
Shalini Nair fell in love with the unique frozen yogurt concept when she first discovered it with her sister-in-law in New Jersey. Unlike other traditional yogurt shops, CUPS frozen yogurt, caters to a broader audience ranging from kids to adults.
Touting itself as “an experience like no other,” CUPS features self-serve yogurt, upbeat music, and unique décor including a chandelier at the register and 60’s photo montages on the walls. CUPS offers 18 serving stations which dispense rotating frozen yogurt flavors, such as seasonal pumpkin and New York cheesecake. These flavors can be mixed and matched to create fusion flavors that play off each other’s sweet and tart flavors. Further down the line, the toppings bar will hold up to 50 varieties of candy, fruits, and nuts that can customize each swirl of frozen yogurt.
Shalini chose Wyatt Management as her general contractor to build out the space. “I really liked that Wyatt Management was also a family-owned business,” said Nair. “We wanted to work with a smaller company with whom we could have a more intimate relationship, as opposed to a large contractor.”
Based in the Woodlands, Wyatt Management has built other family-owned businesses in The Woodlands, such as Hello Taco, owned by Susan and Armando O’Campo. Wyatt Management, a husband-and-wife business themselves, has been in the construction field for more than 18 years and specializes in remodels, build-outs, and ground-up construction of retail stores and casual dining restaurants. Their work in The Woodlands alone includes a ground-up Dairy Queen on Grogan’s Mill, as well as McDonald’s, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and Taco Cabana remodels throughout the greater Houston area. Currently Wyatt Management is building a ground-up Jiffy Lube on FM 1488.
“While large corporations are our bread and butter, we enjoy the opportunity to help other small business owners realize their dreams. CUPS has been a very fun concept to build and we look forward to its great success,” states Tim Wyatt.
