New technology transforms earth stabilization, reducing construction time and cost.

tracker-clay-image Ensuring the stability of ground foundation is critical to any new construction project, particularly in areas where there is an abundance of expansive clay in the soil such as the Gulf Coast of Texas. Clay attracts and absorbs moisture in huge quantities through naturally occurring negative electrical charges. These charges create veins that act as conduits for water. As moisture is absorbed, the soil swells which can easily break apart roads or lift a building off its foundation. Moisture (or lack thereof) in soil can wreak havoc on foundations. Cracked foundations are usually the result of expansion during wet periods and contraction during dry spells.

Soil stabilizers dramatically reduce the effect of moisture in soil by chemical injection. The chemicals used for injection are environmentally safe and meet federal requirements, which do not require hazmat qualifiers. Stabilization compared to soil correction can be up to 35% more cost effective than replacing material, while also eliminating weather delays. Wyatt Management is working with EcoSoil Stabilizers in the ground-up construction of Pollo Tropical Restaurant in New Braunfels, Texas.

CUPS frozen yogurt celebrates its Grand Opening in The Woodlands

CUPS-interiorA new concept in frozen desserts, CUPS frozen yogurt, celebrates its grand opening new Hughes Landing development. Touting itself as “an experience like no other,” CUPS features self-serve yogurt, upbeat music, and unique décor including a chandelier at the register and 60’s photo montages on the walls. CUPS offers 18 serving stations which dispense rotating frozen yogurt flavors, such as seasonal pumpkin and New York cheesecake. The choices can be mixed and matched to create a fusion of flavors that play off each other’s sweet and tart flavors. Further down the line, the toppings bar holds up to 50 varieties of candy, fruits, and nuts that can customize each swirl of frozen yogurt.
CUPS owner, Shalini Nair, chose Wyatt Management as her general contractor to build out the space. “I really liked that Wyatt Management was also a family-owned business,” said Nair. “We wanted to work with a smaller company with whom we could have a more intimate relationship, as opposed to a large contractor.”

“While large corporations are our bread and butter, we enjoy the opportunity to help other small business owners realize their dreams.  CUPS has been a very fun concept to build and we look forward to its great success,” states Tim Wyatt.
